Location 105 Mclaughlin Road,Ste F,Rochester, NY, 14615,United States Base Pay $22.00 - $24.00 / Hour Employee Type Regular Full Time Description Xactra Technologies is looking for a CNC Turning and Milling Setup/Operator to add to our 2nd shift staff. Xactra Technologies has been in business for 43 years and is a high-performance manufacturing facility supplying custom, high-precision mechanical components and assemblies to the optical industry. 2nd shift runs Monday through Thursday, 4:00 pm to 2:30 am, with overtime available on Friday from 11 am to 4 pm. Learn more about the ITAR Here Requirements Operate Multi-Axis Mill Turns and or Vertical/Horizontal Milling Machines. Load fixture in the machine with blank parts to be machined or a machined part for one (1) of the part-specific operations, which would be noted on the job router. Utilize measuring devices to accurately measure part characteristics to ensure they meet within part conformance requirements, and document measurements on inspection documents. Seek supervisory help if the machine fails or measurements get completely outside limits. Document on router production, quality & scrap counts daily. Check to make sure Coolant or Oil levels are at proper function levels. Skills & Experience CNC machining experience in turning or milling. Optical Industry experience is preferred but not required. Ability to read GD&T Code. Ability to use all measuring tools. Materials experience: Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Brass, and Plastics. Set up experience is a huge plus which would come with a higher rate of pay.
