Key responsibilities include: Collaborating with departmental and patient‑care leadership to develop and evaluate mission and service goals. Managing employee performance to support quality, timely, and cost‑effective patient care. Participating in hospital committees and providing specialized pharmacotherapeutic representation. Assisting with securing funding for clinical research and preparing professional articles for publication. Conducting scheduled medical rounds to provide pharmacotherapy input and augment education of interns and residents. Training new employees, pharmacy students, and residents in clinical pharmacological activities. Providing direct patient care, reviewing patient profiles, and recommending drug therapy. Identifying, resolving, or preventing medication‑related problems. Maintaining professional development and participating in research on drug therapy outcomes. Collaborating with leadership to develop metrics and processes for system‑wide program impact. Ensuring staff understanding of clinical department standards and policies. Assisting in training new pharmacy employees and creating professional development opportunities. Minimum Qualifications Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy. Eligible for Georgia licensure and licensed in Georgia prior to official start date. PGY1 and PGY2 residency or equivalent experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days and ACLS within 6 months of hire (if applicable). BCPS preferred. Masters degree preferred. Healthcare provider certifications required. Physical Requirements Medium level: Requires lifting 20–50 lbs up to 66% of work day, carrying objects up to 25 lbs, occasional to frequent standing, walking, and close eye work. Lifting up to 50 lbs max. Physical demands may vary with assigned tasks. Environmental Factors Work may involve exposure to blood‑borne pathogens, biohazardous waste, chemicals, communogenic diseases, electrical shock, extreme temperatures, and shift work.
