Angott Search Group is pleased to partner with a strong, established, and growing Michigan-based bank that is seeking to expand their existing Lansing and Greater Lansing area Commercial Banking Team by hiring a well-rounded Commercial Banker.

This is a great opportunity for a commercial credit-trained banker of varying years of experience to join an existing team of highly connected, successful commercial bankers who call on all types of commercial clients throughout Lansing and the surrounding communities. This individual will receive an existing portfolio of long-standing clients while continuing to grow and expand the market.

The organization offers flexibility, including hybrid work capability for individuals located within approximately a one-hour radius of the market.

An ideal commercial banker will enjoy calling on businesses throughout Lansing and the surrounding communities to provide a full suite of banking products and services. This organization prioritizes the needs of its customers, and bankers are able to offer Commercial & Industrial loans, SBA loans, and Commercial Real Estate loans.

The bank does not segment bankers by deal size, allowing lenders to structure credit facilities ranging from approximately $500,000 to $30 million. Flexibility and taking care of the client are always top priorities within the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage commercial banking relationships throughout Lansing and surrounding communities.
• Originate Commercial & Industrial (C&I), Commercial Real Estate (CRE), and SBA loans.
• Manage an existing portfolio of commercial clients while continuing to grow the market.
• Build and maintain relationships with businesses of varying sizes and industries.
• Structure and present commercial credit opportunities.
• Provide a full suite of banking products and services to commercial clients.
• Maintain strong client service while supporting portfolio growth and credit quality.

Qualifications:

• Commercial credit training and commercial banking experience preferred.
• Experience with commercial lending, including C&I, CRE, and/or SBA lending.
• Strong relationship-building and business development skills.
• Ability to assess, structure, and present commercial credit opportunities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Desire to work in a collaborative, relationship-focused banking environment.
