Job Description

Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ growth and wellbeing while working onsite in a school setting near Newtown, CT. This contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year is ideal for a dedicated School Psychologist interested in collaborating with educators, families, and support teams.

Key Qualifications:

Valid Connecticut Educator Certification as a School Psychologist
Experience within school environments, providing assessment and consultation services
Strong skills in administering and interpreting psychoeducational evaluations
Ability to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and provide evidence-based interventions
Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities working with diverse students, staff, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ needs and strengths
Support the development and implementation of student interventions and behavioral plans
Collaborate with special education and general education teams to enhance student outcomes
Participate in eligibility, IEP, and other intervention meetings
Engage with families to share results, recommendations, and resources
Provide crisis intervention and counseling as needed within the school setting
Maintain thorough documentation and uphold best practices in student confidentiality
