Desktop Support Specialist

Position Overview We are seeking a customer-focused Desktop Support Specialist to provide white-glove technical support to end users in a fast-paced professional environment. This individual will be responsible for delivering onsite and remote support for desktop systems, mobile devices, collaboration tools, audio/visual technologies, and network connectivity. The ideal candidate possesses strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Provide onsite and remote technical support via phone, email, chat, video conferencing, and in-person interactions. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, application, and connectivity issues for end users. Configure, deploy, maintain, and support Windows and Mac desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals. Support Microsoft 365 applications, collaboration platforms, and productivity tools. Deliver executive-level and client-facing support with a high degree of professionalism and urgency. Set up, configure, and support conference room technology, including video conferencing platforms, presentation equipment, and multimedia systems. Provide Audio Visual (AV) support for meetings, events, presentations, and business-critical communications. Assist visiting clients, vendors, and external users with guest network access, collaboration tools, and endpoint support. Document incidents, requests, and resolutions within ServiceNow while adhering to ITIL-based support processes. Escalate complex issues to appropriate technical teams and follow through to resolution. Educate users on technology best practices and promote efficient use of supported systems and applications. Participate in testing, deployment, and adoption of new technologies and service improvements. Assist with hardware lifecycle management, including asset tracking, refresh projects, and equipment deployments. Provide after-hours and occasional on-site support during critical incidents, office events, system outages, or business needs. Support trial, hearing, and conference technology setups, with occasional domestic or international travel as required. Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in a client-facing Desktop Support, Technical Support, or IT Support role. Strong experience supporting both Windows and Mac environments. Hands-on experience supporting desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and related peripherals. Proven ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and connectivity issues. Experience supporting conferencing technologies, collaboration platforms, and AV equipment. Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow and structured IT service management practices. Strong understanding of desktop operating systems, Microsoft 365, and enterprise applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first mindset. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. CompTIA A+, Network+, ITIL, Microsoft, or other relevant technical certifications. Experience supporting legal, financial, consulting, or other professional services organizations. Familiarity with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions and enterprise mobility support. Experience with remote support tools and endpoint management platforms. Understanding of ITIL service management principles and best practices. Success in This Role Consistently delivers timely resolution of desktop and end-user support issues. Maintains high customer satisfaction through exceptional service and communication. Ensures reliable operation of conference room and Audio Visual technologies. Accurately documents all work and maintains compliance with IT service management processes. Identifies opportunities for process improvement and proactively enhances the end-user technology experience. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Miamisburg, OH. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
