Position Overview

A-JAX Company is seeking Industrial Inside Sales Representatives to join our Jacksonville team.

This is a sales-focused role designed for someone who enjoys building customer relationships, developing new business, growing existing accounts, and helping customers identify the right products and solutions.

Candidates with experience in industrial distribution, construction supply, manufacturing, MRO, wholesale distribution, building materials, fasteners, or a related B2B sales environment are strongly encouraged to apply.

You will work closely with Outside Sales Representatives and serve as an important point of contact for customers. This position combines account management, inbound sales, outbound business development, product support, and order follow-up.

This is not a traditional customer service position. The successful candidate will be comfortable asking questions, identifying sales opportunities, recommending additional solutions, and contributing directly to revenue growth.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries received by phone, email, fax, and in person
• Build and maintain relationships with existing customers
• Make outbound calls to current and prospective customers to develop new business
• Identify opportunities to grow existing customer accounts
• Prospect for new customers and sales opportunities
• Partner closely with Outside Sales Representatives to support customer needs and sales goals
• Use a consultative selling approach to understand customer projects, applications, and purchasing requirements
• Recommend products and solutions based on customer needs
• Identify complementary products or additional solutions when appropriate
• Develop strong product and technical knowledge
• Prepare quotes and respond to customer product and pricing inquiries
• Follow up on quotes, open opportunities, and customer requests
• Monitor open orders and coordinate follow-up to help ensure customer commitments are met
• Maintain accurate customer activity, opportunities, and follow-up information in the CRM
• Stay informed about competitor products, pricing, services, and market activity
• Collaborate with sales, sales support, operations, and management to support growth initiatives
• Perform additional related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 2+ years of inside sales, account management, business development, or related sales experience preferred
• Previous experience in industrial distribution, wholesale distribution, construction supply, manufacturing, MRO, fasteners, building materials, or a related B2B environment strongly preferred
• Experience selling products or services to contractors, manufacturers, maintenance departments, construction companies, industrial facilities, or commercial customers is highly desirable
• Experience developing existing accounts and identifying new business opportunities
• Comfortable making outbound sales and prospecting calls
• Strong consultative selling and problem-solving skills
• Ability to ask questions, understand customer requirements, and recommend appropriate solutions
• Ability to understand the broader scope of a customer project and anticipate related needs
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills
• Ability to manage multiple customer inquiries, quotes, orders, and sales opportunities simultaneously
• Ability to learn technical products and product applications
• Comfortable working with CRM systems and documenting customer activity
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Outside Sales and internal support teams

The successful Inside Sales Representative is someone who does more than respond to customer requests.

This may include identifying related products, recognizing future purchasing needs, following up on open opportunities, or proactively reaching out to customers to develop additional business.

A strong candidate will be comfortable balancing customer service responsibilities with a clear focus on sales growth, account development, and long-term customer relationships .

Schedule

• Full-time
• Monday through Friday
• 7:30 AM–4:30 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Consistent daytime schedule

Compensation

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $50,000–$60,000 per year , depending on experience and qualifications.

This position is also eligible for quarterly variable compensation based on the applicable company compensation plan.

About the Opportunity

This is a fully inside sales position with no assigned geographic territory.

The role works closely with an established Outside Sales team and provides the opportunity to develop strong customer relationships, expand existing accounts, prospect for new business, and build knowledge of industrial products and applications.
