Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician

RSC Mechanical is looking to expand our team and is seeking HVAC/R Service Technicians. Job Responsibilities Service, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and self-contained refrigeration systems Work on split systems, package units, heat pumps, condensing units, and controls Repair self-contained cases, coolers, freezers, and ice machines Perform preventive and general maintenance Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues Handle refrigerants safely in compliance with EPA regulations Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and team members Complete digital work orders and required documentation Participate in on-call rotation after training Travel locally as needed Qualifications 2+ years of experience and working knowledge of HVAC/R required. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced and high-pressure environments. Self-startercapableof working independently and in a team setting. Customer-focused mindset withstrong communicationskills. Technicians are expected to provide their own standard hand tools. Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and digital work order systems. Willingness toparticipatein an on-call rotation after training and travel as needed. Schedule Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with overtime asrequired. On-Call Requirements Participation in an on-call rotation following the training period. Must always be available and responsive during assigned on-call shifts. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Work performed indoors and outdoors, with potential exposure to noise, dust, fumes, odors, gases, mechanical/electrical hazards, moving objects, sharp edges, and varying weather conditions. Manual dexterityrequired. Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, crouch, and occasionally climb stairs or ladders. Visual acuitysufficientto read printed and electronic materials. Ability to lift and/or exert force up to 50 pounds. Frequent driving of motor vehicles.
