Anesthesia Technician

Job Summary The Anesthesia Technician reports to the Anesthesia Technician Supervisor and assists licensed anesthesia providers in the preparation and maintenance of patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems. The technician also helps acquire, prepare, assemble, and apply the equipment and supplies necessary for anesthesia administration, performing a variety of technical and supportive patient‑care tasks with anesthesiologists, residents, and CRNAs for patients ranging from infancy to geriatrics. Responsibilities Assist licensed anesthesia providers in preparing and maintaining patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems. Acquire, prepare, assemble, and apply equipment and supplies required for anesthesia administration. Provide technical and supportive patient‑care tasks during anesthetic procedures for patients of all ages. Assist attending anesthesiologists, residents, and CRNAs throughout the procedure. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. One year of direct patient‑care experience in a healthcare facility, supply experience with medical equipment, or related experience; or collegiate coursework in biology, physiology, anatomy, or a related scientific field; or an associate degree; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 2 weeks of hire; ongoing maintenance of BLS or equivalent certification required.
