Interventional Radiology Technician

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with an IR specialty
• Valid state license (as required)
• Minimum of one year of experience in interventional radiology preferred
• Familiarity with angiography, venous access, biopsies, and other IR-guided procedures
• Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols and infection control
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting
• Adaptable and able to respond calmly in urgent or changing clinical situations

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare examination rooms, equipment, and supplies for IR procedures
• Operate imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images during interventional procedures
• Assist physicians with patient positioning and sterile technique throughout procedures
• Monitor patient safety and comfort, communicating regularly with patients and care teams
• Maintain accurate imaging and procedural documentation in accordance with facility standards
• Adhere to safety guidelines, infection control procedures, and radiation safety practices
• Support inventory management, ensuring supplies and equipment are properly stocked and maintained
