Construction Project Manager - Owner's Rep
Harrison Group, Inc.
A construction and design owner’s representative and project management firm is looking to hire a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager. A long-term relationship with a Fortune 200 client has several years worth of commercial office renovation projects local to the Pittsburg, CA and surrounding Bay Area.
This role will coordinate with the client, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations.
Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience with a general contractor, construction owner's rep firm or architecture firm are required
• Commercial office renovation experience required
• Commercial interiors experience within the utilities sector preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management
• Manage multiple commercial renovation projects with limited oversight
• Develop project plans, budgets, schedules, assumptions, and execution strategies
• Track milestones, costs, resources, risks, and overall project performance
Client & Team Coordination
• Serve as the main client contact throughout preconstruction, construction, and closeout
• Define project goals, scope, requirements, deliverables, and expectations
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, consultants, and internal teams
Budget, Schedule & Procurement
• Prepare and manage project budgets, schedules, RFPs, vendor selection, and contractor performance
Design & Construction Oversight
• Lead projects through design, approvals, procurement, construction, and closeout
• Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and construction documents
• Visit job sites as needed to monitor progress, resolve issues, and support field coordination
Risk, Quality & Documentation
• Identify project risks, coordination issues, potential liabilities, and design concerns early
• Ensure compliance with company safety and quality control standards
• Lead meetings, document decisions, communicate next steps, and maintain project records using SharePoint and Microsoft Office tools
Value Engineering
• Recommend cost effective solutions that improve project value, reduce cost, support schedule goals, and improve outcomes
