Special Education School Aide / Behavior Technician (BT) Opportunity - Lenox, MA Amergis Educational Staffing is currently seeking a dedicated Special Education School Aide or Behavior Technician (BT) for a rewarding school-based opportunity in Lenox, MA. This position involves providing individualized support to a kindergarten-aged student and is available for the 2026-2027 school year. Position Details Location: Lenox, MA Start Date: September 7, 2026 Assignment Length: Full School Year Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:15 PM Pay Rate: $24/hour Responsibilities Provide 1:1 support to a kindergarten student diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Assist with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development throughout the school day Work collaboratively with educators and support staff to help meet the student's individualized needs Promote a positive and supportive learning environment Qualifications Previous experience working as a Special Education School Aide, Behavior Technician, or in a clinical setting is required Experience supporting children with ASD or other special needs is highly preferred Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a student's educational experience while working within a supportive school environment. The School Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee. The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.
