Project Engineer - Water/Wastewater

Water And Wastewater Infrastructure Design LeadLeads the design and coordination of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including pipelines, pumping stations, storage tanks, and treatment facilities. Works independently and collaboratively to execute technical designs, manage permitting, and support construction services.ResponsibilitiesLead the design of water and wastewater systems including distribution, collection, and pumping facilitiesDevelop engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimatesConduct hydraulic modeling and evaluate system performancePrepare and submit permitting documents; address agency commentsCollaborate with internal teams and subconsultants to meet project goalsMaintain technical documentation including reports, plans, and logsSupport client presentations and technical discussionsMentor junior engineers and design staffEnsure compliance with applicable codes and quality standardsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited programProfessional Engineer (P.E.) licenseMinimum of 4 years of experience in water/wastewater infrastructure designProficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office SuiteFamiliarity with hydraulic modeling tools (e.g., WaterCAD, SewerCAD) preferredEffective communication and time management skillsStrong analytical and organizational abilitiesAbility to collaborate in multidisciplinary settingsDependable and adaptable to project demandsAvailability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional overtime as neededEEO Statement: All qualified applicants for Pape-Dawson Engineers will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
