The Line Cook is responsible for supporting the Executive Chef and/or Sous Chef in the preparation of meals for the residents and guests of Academy Mapleton Hill (AMH).

Position Responsibilities

The specific duties and extent of responsibility for this position include the following:

• Prepare meals for AMH residents, guests, and employees in accordance with the highest food safety standards and the specifications of the Executive Chef.
• As a Cook, produce meals of superior quality, consistency, and presentation for our residents, staff, and guests.
• Perform daily Line Cook responsibilities, including food preparation, cooking, plating, maintaining an organized workstation, and supporting efficient kitchen operations.
• Assist with special events, banquet service, meetings, and daily functions as requested.
• Work collaboratively with other kitchen and dining employees, assisting with tasks and training as requested.
• Assist kitchen and dining managers with special projects and operational needs as requested.
• Communicate promptly with managers regarding any concerns or issues involving coworkers, residents, guests, or other managers.
• Demonstrate empathy, patience, and respect when working with older adults, with an understanding of geriatric needs and challenges.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment while following all sanitation and safety procedures.
