Ensures the contract requirements are adequately considered in the schedule.Develops strategy on change management for project teams to implement.Develops time impact analysis on contract changes and project impacts.Coordinates all relevant project schedules and prepares proposal schedules based on contract documents project metrics.Works with Virtual Design team to develop 4D schedules.Oversees the creation of 2D visual and 4D graphic schedules.Prepares schedule updates/revisions as well as monthly progress reports in accordance with contract documents.Reviews and communicates both the estimating and project schedules to the project team and district staff.Monitors check-ins with schedulers to determine the actual construction progress.Monitors project progress against baseline and provides delay and time impact analyses.Develops and maintains detailed resource and cost-loaded construction schedules for projects.Facilitates the planning and scheduling process through various construction phases (preconstruction, construction, system completions, commissioning, etc.).Manages schedule scope changes in alignment with contract requirements.Conducts schedule analysis for constructability, risks and opportunities. Qualifications10-15 years of progressive scheduling experience in construction or related field preferred.4 years of experience in a supervisory role an assetPostsecondary degree or diploma in construction management, engineering or a related discipline would be an asset, but is not mandatory.Applicable scheduling certification an asset.Ability to evaluate all facets of the project plan and schedule and challenge the project team to improve project outcomes.Expert knowledge of construction specifications, building materials, methods and procedures, and the ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, contracts and proposal documents.Expert knowledge of schedule requirements in the contract documents.Extensive prior experience with field construction operations and how a project is constructed, including logical sequencing of work through all phases of the project from pursuit to project closeout.Ability to create solutions for complex engineering and planning principles to construction challenges.Ability to identify and mitigate risk, opportunities, appropriate solutions, communicating to stakeholders from construction drawings, specifications, contracts and proposal documents.Thorough understanding of organizational strategies and practices with the ability to apply planning and scheduling principles to identify and mitigate risk, and to formulate and implement project best practices and techniques.Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate and present ideas and content that influence a favorable outcome.Demonstrates a high level of critical thinking and sound decision-making skills; ability to identify and mitigate complex risks across the project.This role will require travel to support project teams and at times could include some temporary secondments. The estimated salary range for this role is between $138,000 and $172,000 per annum, based on your experience and qualifications.
