Overview Skilled work involved with operating and driving trucks and construction equipment. Work Location : Moores Bridges Water Treatment, 6040 Waterworks Road, Norfolk, VA Work Hours : Monday - Thursday or Tuesday - Friday, 6:30 am – 5:00 pm; 4 days/wk. This is an Alpha position and may be subject to rotating, after hours, weekends, holidays, emergency response, and standby assignments. Responsibilities Operates construction and water treatment maintenance equipment such as backhoes, tractors, trenchers, dump trucks, harvesters, etc. Transports heavy equipment, supplies, and materials to work sites. Services and performs minor maintenance on equipment. Assists with loading/unloading materials, job site tasks, and maintaining clean equipment and work areas. May supervise or direct employees. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs., climb, stand, pull, bend, and stoop throughout portions of the work day. Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions. Pre‑employment testing on the operation of a backhoe may be required. Requires a valid Class “B” CDL license. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience operating heavy construction equipment.
