Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist I Position Summary: Working as an individual contributor in the Vehicle Operations Group, you will manage vehicle intake and logistics at a Cox automotive location. Shift is Monday–Friday, 2:00pm–10:00pm (evening). The preferred hourly base pay range is $15.10–$22.69, with eligibility for commission and incentive programs. Compensation & Benefits Hourly base pay: $15.10–$22.69. Additional compensation may include commission and incentive programs. Job Responsibilities Input accurate vehicle information into AS400 using a handheld computer (Portable Terminal – PT) or provide information via headset to a co‑worker for data entry of each vehicle received at the auction, including VIN, Stock number, Dealer ID, make, model, year, mileage, color, options, etc. Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received. Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry. Flag “no key” cars. Direct transporters to the proper car drop zone. Report transport damage as needed. Take a digital image of the vehicle upon receipt. Provide proper sale identification windshield code to the person driving the vehicle through the registration/check‑in area. Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Work in cooperation with safety leadership in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence. Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, such as assisting on sale days driving vehicles through auction sale lanes. May be required to work overtime (over 40 hours) as business needs dictate. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Less than 2 years of experience in a related field. Safe drivers with a valid driver’s license; ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission. Basic computer skills required. Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear. Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb. Ability to lift 1–15 pounds. Vision requirements: close, distance, color vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus. Preferred: 1–3 years of auction and/or vehicle registration experience.
