Equipment Manager

Location: Hubbard, TX Position Summary Performs duties associated with the day-to-day management of a fleet of heavy equipment and vehicles including related reports, maintenance program and management of daily operations. Responsible for the management of equipment rental agreements and life cycle of company owned equipment to optimize company’s bottom line profitability. Key Responsibilities Coordinates repairs and maintenance to be performed by mechanics and by third party vendors. Prioritize requests from the field and assign the most appropriate personnel to the task(s). Assists Construction Managers in the negotiation and acquisition of rental equipment including review and approval of all rental agreements with vendors. Coordinates mobilization and demobilization of equipment to and from the job site(s). Responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures related to equipment. Promotes and communications company commitment to safety by identifying and mitigating task-related safety risks. Ability to perform manual labor in various conditions and work extended hours as needed. Strong communication skills, work ethic, and ability to follow instructions. Ability to embrace a culture of safety. Knowledge of construction methods, maintenance techniques, and proper tool usage. Basic Qualifications High school diploma/GED or equivalent. 5 year’s experience in fleet management. Ability to mentor and train staff. 30 Hour OSHA training. Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive on behalf of company business. Preferred Qualifications The following safety training is preferred, but not mandatory. Company will provide additional training, as necessary. 40 Hour HAZWOPER training. Competent Person Safety Training 8-Hour Supervisory Training 30-Hour OSHA Construction Safety Training First Aid and CPR Physical Demands & Work Environment This role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, extended standing or walking on project sites, climbing in and out of equipment, and working in confined spaces or at heights. Work conditions and demands may vary, with possible exposure to heavy machinery, chemicals, dust, fumes, noise, and extreme weather. Proper PPE, including protective eyewear, gloves, a hard hat, and steel-toed boots, is required. Effective communication, tool use, and adherence to safety protocols are essential.
