About the Role

Primarch Manufacturing is seeking a motivated Sourcing & Procurement Coordinator to join our team in Vista, CA. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in purchasing, sourcing, procurement, or supply chain who is ready to grow their career within the dietary supplement manufacturing industry.

In this role, you’ll support the sourcing and procurement of raw ingredients and materials used in our manufacturing operations. You’ll work directly with suppliers to compare pricing, availability, lead times, and terms while partnering closely with our Quality, R&D, Production, and Operations teams to ensure materials are available when needed and meet our quality standards.

We’re looking for someone who is organized, analytical, comfortable working with vendors and numbers, and interested in growing their knowledge and responsibilities within sourcing and procurement.

What You’ll Do

Sourcing & Supplier Management

• Source raw ingredients and materials based on quality, pricing, availability, and business needs.
• Research and evaluate new suppliers and sourcing opportunities.
• Request and compare quotes, pricing, lead times, minimum order quantities, and supplier terms.
• Support pricing and term negotiations and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance, including pricing, quality, availability, and on-time delivery.

Raw Materials & Quality Coordination

• Partner with Quality Control and R&D to help ensure ingredients and suppliers meet company specifications and quality requirements.
• Coordinate ingredient specifications, samples, documentation, and other information needed for material approval.
• Support supplier qualification and compliance activities.
• Help resolve material, quality, documentation, and supplier-related issues.

Pricing & Cost Analysis

• Maintain accurate raw material pricing and cost information.
• Track landed costs, tested ingredient costs, and supplier pricing changes.
• Compare supplier options and identify opportunities to improve pricing and purchasing efficiency.
• Monitor market and supplier trends that may impact ingredient cost or availability.
• Support finished-good cost analysis and procurement reporting.

Purchasing & Supply Coordination

• Coordinate raw material purchases and deliveries based on production needs.
• Monitor open orders, lead times, and expected delivery dates.
• Proactively communicate and help resolve potential shortages or delays.
• Work with Operations and Inventory to maintain appropriate material levels and minimize shortages or excess inventory.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve shipping, receiving, and order discrepancies.

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain accurate supplier, purchasing, pricing, and procurement records.
• Track supplier quotes, agreements, pricing changes, and related documentation.
• Prepare reports and updates on material costs, supplier performance, and sourcing activity.
• Support improvements to procurement processes and systems as the function continues to grow.

What We’re Looking For

• 1–3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in dietary supplements, food/beverage, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or manufacturing environments is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with pricing, cost comparisons, spreadsheets, and data.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build productive supplier relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, problem-solve, and follow through on deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with purchasing, ERP, inventory, or procurement systems is a plus.
• Interest in developing a long-term career in sourcing and procurement.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $72,000–$75,000 annually, depending on experience
