What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and applicable emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, patient care areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and wayfinding, and report unauthorized access or policy concerns to site leadership.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Guard card is required. 
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
