Work Environment

This role is performed onsite, providing home care services to patients, which allows therapists to have a direct influence on their recovery process in familiar surroundings. Our team operates primarily from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours from 8 AM to 4 PM or 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a work-life balance that empowers our staff to manage their personal wellbeing effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical conditions to identify their specific rehabilitation needs.
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans that utilize a variety of therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, exercise, and modalities.
• Engage in clinical teaching and mentorship of interns, students, and junior staff, contributing to a culture of learning and professional development.
• Collaborate with the clinic manager to initiate and participate in clinical research projects aimed at improving therapeutic techniques and patient outcomes.
• Document patient progress and treatment results meticulously, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
• Foster strong relationships with patients, educating them on their conditions and involving them in their own recovery plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions that affect their mobility and function. Your approaches will focus on enhancing their functional abilities and minimizing pain, thus playing a pivotal role in their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required, though a Master's Degree is preferred.
• Current and active Physical Therapy license in New York State is essential for practice.
• A minimum of two years of rehabilitation experience in orthopedic settings is required to ensure competence and confidence in patient management.
