Press Brake OperatorAs a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for operating various machines at an advanced level, including press brakes, saws, drills, turret punches, lasers, and shears, according to standard operating procedures. Your role will involve setting up, programming, and calibrating machines for production runs, troubleshooting and resolving complex machine issues, and performing final quality checks on parts and assemblies.ResponsibilitiesOperate various machines at an advanced level, including press brakes, saws, drills, turret punches, lasers, and shears, following standard operating procedures.Set up, program, and calibrate machines for production runs, ensuring all configurations meet product specifications.Troubleshoot and resolve complex machine issues, including mechanical, electrical, and software-related problems.Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and efficiency gains.Perform final quality checks on parts and assemblies to ensure they meet all standards and customer specifications.Train and mentor less experienced machine operators on advanced machine operation and troubleshooting techniques.Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on machines to ensure all equipment is in good working condition.Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve product designs, production workflows, and equipment performance.Maintain accurate records of production activities, machine performance, and corrective actions taken.Follow and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.Provide continuous improvement suggestions following lean manufacturing guidelines.Essential SkillsExperience with punch press, press brake, and sheet metal.Experience working with sheet metal that is cut, pressed, and punched to a strict tolerance.Expertise in machine programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance.Strong knowledge of machining techniques, including precision manufacturing and CNC operations.Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM files.Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.Strong leadership abilities, with experience training and mentoring junior staff.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; advanced technical certification or associate degree in machine operation, engineering, or related field preferred.2+ years of experience in machine operations, preferably in press brake.Why Work Here?Join a fast-growing, dynamic environment with a competitive salary and a modern, air-conditioned facility equipped with state-of-the-art technology in Mesa, Arizona. The use of personal protective equipment is required, and good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination are necessary. The job offers two shift options: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (1st shift) and Monday through Thursday, 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM (2nd shift). Electric charging stations are available on site.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ 85212.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.60/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
