Equity Options Operations Co-op with Drexel University

Overview Operations Analysts at Susquehanna are responsible for maximizing efficiency of processes across the firm as well as supporting all daily trading operations. As an Operations Analyst co-op, you will gain in-depth exposure to the trading environment and various business areas at Susquehanna. You will be placed within the Equity Options/Index trading desk and be introduced to Susquehanna's hands-on education and unique culture. This position provides exposure to one of the largest trading desks at Susquehanna, and is an excellent opportunity to expand your technical skills and overall financial products knowledge.Throughout the six months, you will work on a variety of analytical projects that impact multiple areas of the business and introduce you to current challenges facing our industry. Past projects include trading and profit & loss analytics, automation of operational processes and research of new business opportunities. Co-ops have the opportunity to network with coworkers across the firm as well as build strong relationships with recently graduated mentors.Job Duties:Communicating with satellite offices and exchanges about tradesTracking and correcting trade breaksRunning macros that update data used in profit and loss reportsEntering trade tickets throughout the daySending hourly and final recaps of tradesRunning evening macros to update trade records What we’re looking for Pursuing a degree in Finance, Math, Computer Science or a related majorProficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel and AccessPrior experience with VBA and SQL a plusAbility to collaborate with a team while having the confidence to work independentlyFlexibility and drive with a commitment to innovationAbility and desire to work in a fast paced, dynamic environmentMinimum GPA of 3.0Detail oriented; ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environmentPrevious experience in financial services or completion of finance- or investment-related coursework a plusProbability and Statistics background a plusVisa sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position now or in the futureWhat’s in it for youOur non-hierarchical culture allows employees of every level to thrive and make impact.
