OverviewRisk and Controls develops and maintains the firm's Enterprise Risk Management Strategy. The team identifies, monitors, evaluates, and manages both financial and non-financial risks, while also running day-to-day risk management activities, leading projects, and helping advance the risk program. As a critical function, Risk and Controls shapes how the firm manages risk and contributes to the continued strengthening of a robust risk management program.Your Impact: On our Risk and Controls team, you will apply your analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate business processes and workflows, identify areas of risk and opportunities for improvement, document and test controls, and contribute to the firm's risk mitigation efforts. You will also support key functions such as entity onboarding and incident and issue management, collaborating with stakeholders across the firm while gaining exposure to the markets and other areas of the business.In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in developing a risk management program, executing strategic projects, and engaging cross-functional stakeholders within a fast-paced, innovative financial institution.Analyze business processes and workflows to identify risks and areas of improvementDocument and test controls for operational effectivenessSupport the entity onboarding process to the firm’s due diligence standardManage incidents and other risk events through detection, identification of root cause, and planning/tracking of remediation with cross functional stakeholdersPrepare and maintain high-quality risk management education materials for firmwide stakeholdersAssist with ad hoc projects to ensure timely delivery of initiativesWhat we’re looking forProficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel and AccessPrior experience with VBA and SQL a plusStrong communication skills (oral and written); ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and external vendorsDetail oriented; ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environmentMust be a self-starter, a quick learner, and resourceful in solving problemsPrevious experience in the financial services industry or completion of finance- or investment-related coursework a plusProbability and Statistics background a plusVisa sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position now or in the futureWhat’s in it for youOur non-hierarchical culture allows employees of every level to thrive and make impact.
