Special Education Teacher

Qualifications (Required) Valid Massachusetts Teacher Certification in the respective content area of Special Education. Successful teaching experience. Experience modifying and differentiating curriculum for students within sub‑separate and inclusion classes. Ability to relate / communicate effectively with teachers, students, parents, and administrators. Commitment to be present for each day of the program. Qualifications (Preferred) Experience working in the Malden Public Schools. SEI Endorsement. License in Moderate Special Education. Duties and Responsibilities Plan and implement ESY Curriculum for students on IEPs. Complete planning logs for each session and maintain student attendance records. Keep folders/portfolios with student work. Perform other related activities as required by the Program Coordinator. Develop Progress Reports at the end of the ESY Program. Duration Program Administration and Implementation: 103 hours total, including: Professional in‑service days (Date TBD – 3 hours). 20 days, Monday‑Thursday, from July 6 – August 6 (7:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.). Stipend $40 an hour, $4,120 total (20 days/5 hrs + 1 in‑service at 3 hours) Funding Source Special Education How to Apply Apply formally on School Spring.
