Verifies exams as ordered by physician. 2. Demonstrates the knowledge to perform correct scan protocols in an effort to decrease radiation exposure to patients. 3. Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to all radiation safety recommendations, including patient shielding. ALARA 4. Properly administers IV and oral contrast. 5. Explains exams/procedures to patients and families. 6. Ensures that work area is properly maintained. 7. Keeps current of new and evolving technologies in CT. 8. Maintains equipment and requests service as needed. 9. Complies with all TJC, state, federal, and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols. 10. Performs other duties as assigned.
