Employee Benefits Specialist

Corporate Benefits SpecialistCGI is seeking a U.S. Corporate Benefits Specialist to support the administration, communication, and continuous improvement of employee benefits programs across the United States. This role partners closely with Human Resources, payroll, vendors, and business leaders to ensure benefits are administered accurately, remain compliant with federal and state regulations, and deliver a positive employee experience.The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of U.S. employee benefits, exceptional analytical and customer service skills, and experience supporting health and welfare, retirement, wellness, and leave programs within a large, multi state organization. This position may be performed in a hybrid or remote environment based on business needs. CGI will consider candidates proximate to any U.S. office. CGI utilizes a hybrid working model and partners should be prepared to work on site at a CGI office, as needed.Your future duties and responsibilities:Administer U.S. health, welfare, retirement, wellness, and voluntary benefit programsServe as a subject matter expert for employees, managers, and HR partners regarding benefit eligibility, enrollment, and plan provisionsAssist with annual Open Enrollment activities, including employee support and system testingPartner with third party administrators, insurance carriers, and internal stakeholders to resolve benefit issues accurately and efficientlyEnsure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and Section 125 requirementsSupport implementation of new benefit programs, process improvements, and HR technology enhancementsAnalyze benefit utilization and program metrics to identify trends and recommend improvementsParticipate in benefits related projects while maintaining high levels of customer service and operational excellenceRequired qualifications to be successful in this role:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent professional experience3+ years of experience administering U.S. employee benefits programsWorking knowledge of health and welfare plans, retirement plans, leave programs, and voluntary benefitsUnderstanding of ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, Section 125, and other applicable employment regulationsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills with exceptional attention to detailAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex benefit information clearlyAbility to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast paced environmentDesired qualifications:Experience supporting benefits in a large, multi state or global organizationExperience with vendor management and benefits implementation projectsKnowledge of HR analytics and benefits reporting toolsSkills:Benefits ManagementCommunicationCustomer Service & SupportMS Office 365Vendor Management
