In this role, you will: Develop and maintain the accounting policies, processes, and procedures that keep our financial statements accurate and audit ready. Support external audits and control agency inquiries alongside the Financial Management Division's leadership. Desirable Qualifications Accounting Frameworks: Core accounting mastery in both budgetary fund modified accrual and full accrual accounting and reporting. Financial and Accounting Compliance: Deep knowledge of accounting information systems, GASB, GAAP, the State Administrative Manual (SAM), Government Code, and relevant statutes. System & Software: Proficient in FI$Cal/PeopleSoft, Microsoft Excel, and Word. Year-End Reporting: Experience managing year-end financial reporting across Budgetary Legal, GAAP; writing financial statements, reports, and complexanalysis. Interpersonal Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate effectively and positively to all staff levels. Process Presentation: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with specialized experience preparing and presenting complex accounting processes.
