Sr Planning Analyst

Senior Planning Analyst position at Thermo Fisher Scientific's Richmond, VA laboratory facility. Optimize production schedules and inventory management while collaborating with cross-functional teams on demand planning, capacity utilization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production plans balancing customer demand with manufacturing capacity
- Analyze data to optimize production schedules and improve efficiency across operations
- Collaborate with Planning, Operations, Quality, Procurement, and Project Management teams
- Guide schedule adherence, resolve planning conflicts, and support continuous improvement
- Develop and maintain planning parameters, master data, and performance metrics reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in planning, operations, or supply chain roles
- Proficiency with ERP systems, particularly SAP, and advanced Excel skills
- Strong understanding of MRP principles, capacity planning, and inventory management
- Experience with Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP/S&OP) processes
- APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) preferred
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred
