Sr. Data Analyst
100% Remote
12+ months Contract
Project Scope / Components:
- Will be supporting multiple different projects
High-Level Individual Duties:
- Work closely with data analysts to transform specification into client algorithms (4 Oracle, 2 Snowflake)
- Code complex procedures to support new client algorithms (4 Oracle, 2 Snowflake)
- Contribute to technical documentation of specifications and processes
- Responsible for weekly data loads and balancing of 9 accounts (6 Oracle, 3 Snowflake)
- Investigate data anomalies to determine root cause, specify appropriate changes and work with engineering and operations teams as the change is implemented and tested
- Research client questions on data results by identifying underlying data elements leveraged and providing descriptions of data transformations involved
- Work closely with engineering and operations teams to answer questions and resolve data issues that arise
- Responsible for extracting and replicating data into a common data mart.
- Drive adoption of best practices and agreed upon design patterns
- Communicate clearly and effectively in oral and written forms, and be able to present and demonstrate work to technical and non-technical leadership
Must-Haves (Concepts & Tools):
- 10+ years of Oracle Database experience
- 5+ years of advanced PL/SQL and SQL experience
- 5+ years od UNIX command prompt navigation, including VI editor –shell scripts
- Healthcare claim data experience
Nice-to-Haves (Concepts & Tools):
- Experience working in a matrixed environment on a fast-paced project
- Experience developing within an agile framework
- Experience with Snowflake
- Experience with data loading tools (Talend, Informatica, Data Factory, ODI)
- Exposure to cloud environments experience (Azure)
What will set candidates apart?:
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Snowflake and ETL of healthcare data.
