Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

Cherrelyn Healthcare Center is seeking a compassionate and patient-centered Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will work under the supervision and direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality rehabilitative care to residents in a skilled nursing and long-term care environment. You will assist with implementing individualized treatment plans designed to help residents improve or maintain their ability to perform activities of daily living, enhance functional mobility, and maximize independence and safety.

As a COTA with Cherrelyn Healthcare Center, you will conduct treatment sessions, lead therapeutic exercises and activities, provide training in the use of adaptive equipment, and offer education and support to residents and their families. You will carefully document progress, communicate changes in condition, and collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to care. Your work will emphasize dignity, respect, and encouragement, helping residents achieve meaningful goals that improve their quality of life.
