Project Manager

Rate: $80-$95/hour, depending on experience The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced LMS Migration Project Manager to lead a major Learning Management System transformation within a leading Boston-based college. You will take ownership of the migration programme from planning through to implementation, coordinating technology teams, academic stakeholders, vendors and university leadership to ensure a successful transition to the new LMS. This is a highly visible project requiring strong project management, stakeholder engagement and change-management skills, combined with a good understanding of LMS platforms, data migration and higher education environments. Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to end LMS migration project, including planning, delivery, testing and go-live. Develop project plans, milestones, dependencies, budgets and delivery timelines. Coordinate migration of courses, users, learning content, assessments and associated data. Work closely with IT, academic technology teams, faculty, administrators and external vendors. Manage data mapping, migration, testing and validation activities. Own project risks, issues, dependencies and mitigation plans. Coordinate UAT, training, communications and change management ahead of launch. Lead cutover and go-live planning, ensuring appropriate support is in place. Provide regular project reporting to senior university stakeholders. What We're Looking For Proven experience managing LMS implementation or migration projects. Strong technical project management experience, ideally within higher education. Experience with platforms such as Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, D2L Brightspace or similar. Understanding of LMS data migration, integrations, testing and validation. Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills. Experience managing complex projects with multiple technical and business stakeholders. Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills. Experience managing change, training, UAT and go-live activities.
