Medical Assistant 2US Foot & Ankle Specialists is looking for a Medical Assistant 2 to join our growing podiatry practice. If you enjoy working directly with patients, supporting physicians, and being part of a team, we'd love to meet you!As a Medical Assistant 2, you'll support physicians with hands-on patient care and provide front desk support such as scheduling, check-in, and patient communication. You'll use both your clinical skills and your administrative strengths. This hybrid role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety and wants to be cross-trained in multiple areas of the office.Essential Functions/Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned): Welcome patients, room them, take vitals, update medical history, and prepare them for examsAssist providers with injections, wound care, nail care, minor procedures, and in-office surgeriesApply DME, strappings, and pads; take X-rays; prepare and submit lab specimensClean and sterilize instruments, stock rooms, and maintain daily supply readinessAnswer phones, schedule appointments, manage provider calendars, and handle patient check-in/outVerify insurance, referrals, and authorizations; collect copays and patient balancesMaintain and update patient records through scanning, faxing, and data entrySupport billing follow-ups, orthotics tracking, and end-of-day documentationRequired Skills and Experience: High School Diploma or GEDMedical Assistant program completion or 2+ years of clinical experienceCMA or RMA certification preferred but not requiredStrong multitasking, communication, and customer service skillsExperience with EMR systems, medical terminology, and basic insurance processesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and assist wherever neededAbility to travel between local office locations, as neededTechnologically savvy; proficient in Microsoft 365 products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and TeamsPay Range: $21 - $22/ per hour, based on experienceBenefits Offered: Health Insurance (Single & Family plans available)Life InsuranceDisability Insurance401(k) Plan with Company MatchEmployee Discount ProgramPaid Time OffPaid HolidaysPhysical Requirements: The physical demands described here represent those required to perform essential job functions.
