ResponsibilitiesDuties include:Planning, designing and developing cloud-based applications (AWS)Managing cloud environments in accordance with company and sponsor security guidelinesDeploying and debugging cloud initiatives as needed in accordance with best practices throughout the development lifecycleDesign, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems and solutions in accordance with best practicesEmploying exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to recognize and solve issues before they snowball into problemsAssist sponsor with evaluating new cloud technologies as they become available in the enterpriseCollaborate with other developers and engineers to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutionsConfigure and monitor Linux installations including standard Linux utilities and shell scriptsCreate and configure secure cloud resources in AWSConfigure high-volume data flows using NiFiPerform custom data transformations from standard or proprietary formats to other formats (often based on JSON or XML)QualificationsRequired QualificationsActive TS/SCI with relevant polygraph requiredBachelor's degree + 8 years of experience, or master's degree + 6 years of experience, or PhD + 3 years of experience4 years of additional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degreeHands-on AWS experience (tools such as SNS/SQS, EC2, S3, etc.)May be met with on-the-job experience, formal training, or certificationsPreferred QualificationsKnowledgeable and experienced in at least one programming language (Java, Python, Bash/shell, C, etc.)Working knowledge of Cybersecurity and/or SecDevOps principles and practicesExperience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and approachesFamiliarity with Sponsor systems and interfacesAWS CertificationsCollege degree in a relevant fieldPeraton OverviewPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
