Must-Have: Pediatric experience in a level 1 trauma facility is required. Ability to provide safe, high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective patient-centric care. Skill in applying principles of radiologic technology, medical imaging, and medical terminology. Ability to maintain accurate records and work with names, numbers, and codes. Ability to communicate effectively with staff, patients, and families. Ability to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations.

Description: Under immediate to general supervision and direction, this entry-level position works to achieve the initial competencies required to deliver specialized radiologic technology services. The focus is on aiding medical staff in the diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of simple to complex conditions in pediatric patients. The technologist prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with procedures ordered by physicians. Communication and collaboration with patients, families, and members of the multidisciplinary care team are essential. Utilizing various specialized radiologic equipment, the technologist performs diagnostic and interventional procedures in accordance with established guidelines. Post-procedure reviews are conducted to ensure all required elements are completed and documented. Images and data are transferred to archival systems, and technical data/findings are prepared for physician reporting. Operator-level quality control checks and maintenance procedures are performed per manufacturer instructions and regulatory guidelines. The position also includes participation in continuing education and professional development to maintain competencies and promote improvements.
