Work Environment

This position is onsite within a school setting in Dallas, Texas, allowing you to connect with families and individuals in a familiar and trusted environment. You will typically work from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with occasional clinic hours extending to 8:00 p.m. on certain evenings. There may also be opportunities to participate in community outreach efforts, including health fairs and weekend events, promoting health literacy and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough health assessments and screenings to identify physical, mental, and social health needs among patients.
• Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic conditions while developing personalized healthcare plans for individuals and families.
• Collaborate with local community organizations and stakeholders to design and implement impactful health education and awareness programs.
• Promote culturally sensitive care, advocating for each patient's rights and ensuring equitable access to necessary healthcare services.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards.
• Participate actively in community outreach activities and health fairs to enhance public knowledge about preventive care and available resources.
• Stay informed about current trends in community health, evidence-based practices, and relevant health policy updates.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will be on serving a diverse patient population, including families and individuals from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Qualifications

• A current certification as a Nurse Practitioner is required.
• An active nursing license in the state of Texas is mandatory.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution is required; a Master's degree is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience, ideally in community health or public health settings.
• Experience working with underserved populations and an understanding of social justice and health equity principles.

Compensation and Benefits
