Resource Ops & Planning Manager

A Brief Overview The Resource Ops & Planning Program Manager is responsible for employee onboarding, resource scheduling, training coordination, staffing models and resource allocation while driving operational excellence across the organization. This is a 6‑month fixed‑term role. Location Stanford Health Care, United States of America. Responsibilities Resource Management Enable agility to scale staffing levels in response to changing operational demands. Develop and maintain workforce capacity plans aligned with business objectives. Partner with department leaders to forecast talent needs and staffing gaps using data trends, productivity metrics, and staff burnout indicators. Monitor workforce utilization and recommend adjustments to balance workloads and improve productivity. Support staffing models, scheduling, and resource allocation planning. Team Leadership & Operational Execution Oversee day‑to‑day program execution, ensuring timely fulfillment of staffing needs. Ensure team members and contingent staff are trained, prepared, and deployed effectively. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure adherence to labor laws, collective bargaining agreements, organizational policies, and healthcare regulations. Maintain strong documentation and audit‑ready processes to mitigate risk. Partner with HR to address workforce‑related compliance issues. Lifecycle Management & Employee Experience Oversee onboarding, engagement, and offboarding processes for new employees and temporary workers. Coordinate onboarding schedules, resources, and cross‑functional activities to ensure a consistent employee experience using CICARE principles and service‑excellence standards. Promote a positive, inclusive, and high‑quality experience for all team members. Track onboarding effectiveness and continuously improve processes, documentation, and timelines. Training Operations Develop and manage operational training programs in partnership with functional leaders. Coordinate training schedules, facilitators, and learning resources. Monitor training completion, compliance, and effectiveness using defined metrics. Identify skill gaps and recommend development programs to improve workforce capability. Operational Planning & Process Improvement Establish standardized processes for workforce planning, scheduling, onboarding, and resource management. Create and manage worker schedules. Develop dashboards and reporting to monitor staffing, retention, utilization, onboarding progress, and operational performance. Lead continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, reduce onboarding time, and improve resource utilization. Cross‑Functional Partnership Collaborate with Human Resources, Finance, Operations, and department leaders to align workforce planning with organizational priorities. Communicate staffing plans, operational metrics, and resource recommendations to leadership. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, or related field (preferred). Experience: 5–7+ years in operations, staffing, workforce planning, program management or related field. Prior experience managing onboarding programs or operational training initiatives. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate data into staffing models and resource forecasts. Operational excellence mindset with strong execution and accountability. High attention to detail in compliance‑driven environments. Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced setting. Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Background in staffing operations, capacity planning, or centralized operations. Experience using workforce planning, scheduling, and project management tools. Supply chain knowledge.
