About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer to provide visionary leadership in a dynamic healthcare organization. The CMO will be responsible for leading clinical operations, overseeing physician management, and collaborating with academic partners. This executive role is pivotal in guiding the organization's transition, with a strong focus on strategic growth and quality improvement. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the future of the organization, particularly in the face of complex political and operational challenges. Key responsibilities for the Chief Medical Officer include promoting high-quality patient care standards, ensuring compliance with healthcare laws and best practices, and leading efforts to improve clinical outcomes, patient safety, and operational efficiency. The role also involves managing departmental budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years' leadership experience in healthcare, an MD degree (with an MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred), strong financial acumen, and a proven track record in managing large physician networks or academic medical centers. Experience in Graduate Medical Education, in-depth knowledge of healthcare laws, and proficiency in informatics and clinical data analytics are also required. The CMO will work closely with senior leadership to support organizational transformation and must have excellent communication, executive presence, and interpersonal skills.
