Outpatient Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse - Siteman Northwest

Overview Siteman Cancer Center - North St. Louis County 8‑hour shifts (7:30 am–5 pm) Float between locations: Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Peters, South County & West County Minimum 2 years RN experience; oncology experience ideal Role Purpose Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care. Responsibilities Promotes patient and family-centered care in a healing environment. Educates patients and families on illness or injury management, including post-treatment home care and medication administration. Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Participates in professional development. Develops, implements, and documents individualized plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with interprofessional team and patient/family or caregiver. Proactively plans and ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care. Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care. Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population-specific needs. Maintains safety-sensitive performance as required by BJC.
