Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU Step Down/PCU Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the ICU Step Down/PCU. In this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with moderate acuity levels, utilizing your clinical expertise and compassion to promote positive patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Provide nursing care for PCU/MS level patients, managing standard drips excluding insulin and vaso pressors. Maintain patient safety and comfort while delivering high-quality healthcare services. Monitor and evaluate patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions as needed. Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal treatment plans. Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and health management. Work Schedule This position requires working 7 PM to 7 AM shifts, with a commitment to two weekend shifts every two weeks. Nurse-to-Patient Ratios The nurse-to-patient ratio is 4:1, ensuring a manageable workload that allows for focused patient care. Qualifications Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license. A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in an ICU or PCU setting. Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to manage diverse patient needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm demeanor. Location This position is located in Plano, TX.
