Key Responsibilities\n

As an LMFT with us, your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing individual and group therapy sessions tailored to the needs of clients in an outpatient setting, focusing on in-home care when necessary.

• Facilitating the development of coping strategies and social skills for clients, particularly in addressing anger management and reducing high-risk behaviors.
\n
• Engaging stakeholders, including families and caregivers, to enhance decision-making skills that manage behavioral challenges in home environments.

• Collaborating with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals to craft comprehensive care solutions that support both youth and their families.
\n
• Ensuring timely documentation of all patient interactions, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to our clinic's protocols.

• Participating in monthly team meetings to contribute insights and recommendations for service improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In your role as an LMFT, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups. Your focus will primarily be on underserved populations, including both youth and adult clients coping with various challenges impacting their mental health. Your expertise will be invaluable as you help these individuals navigate complex situations, enhancing their emotional resilience and fostering healthier relationships.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited program.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license in California.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a therapeutic setting, demonstrating effective treatment methodologies.

• Ability to work a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 PM) to accommodate client schedules.

• A valid California driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for in-home therapy sessions.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in positive behavior support, crisis intervention, and experience working with youth populations will find their skills particularly valuable. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus, as it enhances your ability to manage documentation efficiently.
