Overview

Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – MMM. Location: San Juan, Puerto Rico. This role requires in-office presence at least 3 days per week to foster collaboration, with flexibility for hybrid work. Alternate locations may be considered. Note: candidates not within reasonable commuting distance will not be considered unless an accommodation is granted by law.

Summary

Responsible for ensuring sound financial and accounting systems, practices, and processes in support of MMM’s Government Business in Puerto Rico, including Medicare Advantage and Medicaid.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial leadership, decision support, and strategic consultation to the senior management team.
• Oversee general accounting, cost/budget accounting, and accounts payable.
• Ensure financial compliance with Puerto Rico regulatory requirements, including ASES (Plan Vital), CMS, and local statutory obligations.
• Lead development of annual operating plans, multi-year forecasts, and long-range strategies aligned with Puerto Rico market conditions and funding structures.
• Oversee financial strategy for provider networks, including IPAs, MSOs, and delegated entities across Puerto Rico.
• Partner with market, clinical, and corporate leadership to drive sustainable growth, regulatory compliance, and value-based outcomes in a highly regulated environment.
• Hire, train, coach, counsel, and evaluate the performance of direct reports.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in financial operations, analysis, reporting, administrative cost allocations and analysis, budgets, and forecasting.
• Minimum 7 years of management experience.
• Any combination of education and experience to provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences

• MBA preferred.
• CPA required. CFA, CMA, or CCM preferred.
• Knowledge/experience in Medicaid, Medicare, MSO business.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English strongly preferred.
