Buyer - Mobile Hydraulics (Industrial Distribution)

Responsibilities Support the execution of procurement processes to maximize on‑time delivery and maintain optimal inventory levels. Maintain inventory master data and warehouse records in our Trend system. Communicate effectively with suppliers and manage the supply chain process in line with SunSource “Best Practices.” Process supplier returns and credits for defective, obsolete, or excess materials. Collaborate with your team to proactively manage excess and obsolete inventory. Serve as the primary point of contact between SunSource and our suppliers. Schedule and organize cadence and escalation meetings as needed. Participate in ongoing training and development to strengthen procurement expertise. Qualifications & Experience High School Diploma required; Associate degree or higher preferred. 1+ year of experience in procurement, inventory control, or a similar role. Experience in industrial distribution or manufacturing preferred. Familiarity with hydraulic, fluid power, or off‑highway mobile equipment components a plus. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook. Eagerness to learn complex processes and grow within a dynamic team environment. Primarily a seated, office‑based role (more than 50% of the workday). Occasional walking and standing required. Ability to use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.
