Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Technician to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems in manufacturing, oil & gas, and industrial machinery environments. This role ensures machinery operates efficiently, safely, and reliably by working closely with engineers and other technical staff.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical systems, machinery, and components
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
- Diagnose mechanical problems and troubleshoot equipment
- Replace or repair defective parts using hand and power tools
- Install, assemble, and test mechanical equipment and system
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Monitor system performance and adjust to optimize operation
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to resolve technical issues
Required Skills:
- Associate degree or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field (preferred)
- Hands-on experience with mechanical equipment, tools, and systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and understand engineering and electrical drawings and schematics
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems
- Proficiency with diagnostics tools and maintenance practices
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in a mechanical or industrial environment
- Experience in manufacturing, oil & gas or industrial machinery
- Familiarity with safety standards (OSHA, company procedures)
