Work Environment

As an onsite facility, our Rehabilitation Center is designed to create a welcoming and efficient space for both therapists and patients. We take pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and motivating atmosphere that enhances the rehabilitation experience. Our physical therapy team works closely together, sharing knowledge and best practices to deliver comprehensive care that meets the unique needs of each patient. You will enjoy a Monday to Friday work schedule, with hours from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life commitment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of patients to establish a baseline of mobility, strength, and functionality.
• Design and execute individualized treatment plans that reflect the goals and aspirations of each patient, while adapting them based on continuous evaluation and feedback.
• Implement engaging therapeutic exercise programs aimed at restoring movement and improving strength, while ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during each session.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of patient progress in accordance with facility protocols, which aids in tracking improvements and altering treatment as necessary.
• Collaborate with team members, including physicians and nursing staff, to optimize patient care and address any multidisciplinary needs.
• Participate in ongoing professional development by attending workshops and reviewing relevant literature to stay current with the latest advancements in physical therapy.
• Assist in creating a positive environment for rehabilitation by maintaining equipment and contributing to the facility's overall organization and cleanliness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At PT Plus, our patient population includes individuals from various age groups experiencing orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain issues. You will have the opportunity to utilize evidence-based practices to assess, treat, and guide patients of diverse backgrounds, tailoring approaches to suit individual recovery journeys.

Qualifications

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; a Master's or Doctorate degree is preferred.
• Hold a valid and active Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with AED proficiency.
• A strong commitment to patient care, demonstrated through at least 2 years of experience in the field.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an aptitude for motivating patients and fostering strong therapeutic relationships.
• Knowledge of equipment use, maintenance procedures, and best practices relevant to physical therapy modalities.

Preferred Experience

Experience working in an orthopedic setting is highly preferred, as it will allow for an expedited understanding of our patient needs and the intricacies of developing effective treatment plans tailored to specific injuries.
