Work Environment

Our clinic is an onsite outpatient facility located in the heart of Blacksburg, VA, providing a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for both staff and patients. As a Physical Therapist at our clinic, you will work Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a consistent and stable work-life balance. The facility is designed specifically for rehabilitative care, facilitating an efficient workflow for therapists and providing a comfortable setting for patients during their treatment sessions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and understand the unique goals and needs of each patient, offering personalized treatment plans that align with their rehabilitation objectives.
• Maintain a patient load that allows for focused, individualized care, typically one patient per hour, to ensure thorough evaluation and intervention.
• Utilize your expertise in orthopedic outpatient care to implement cost-effective and efficient treatments aimed at improving patients' mobility and functionality.
• Adopt a holistic approach in minimizing reliance on medications by exploring non-surgical alternatives and providing evidence-based interventions.
• Develop and implement comprehensive care plans using a diverse range of treatment techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and client education.
• Create customized fitness and wellness programs tailored to the specific needs of your patients, promoting long-term health and recovery.
• Motivate and guide patients throughout their treatment journey to enhance their physical performance and overall well-being.
• Encourage a proactive approach to health by improving patients' strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across the clinic to ensure integrated care and comprehensive support for patients.
• Regularly evaluate treatment effects, monitor patient progress, and communicate openly with patients about their rehabilitation.
• Document treatment services and interventions accurately to maintain detailed patient records for continued care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves individuals with private medical insurance, ensuring that our patient demographic is diverse and includes a variety of orthopedic conditions. You will work closely with athletes, post-surgical patients, and individuals recovering from injuries, all while fostering a compassionate and supportive environment that prioritizes their recovery goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia, with no disciplinary actions or board actions against your license.
• Proven manual therapy skills and proficiency in developing effective, individualized exercise routines.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, such as WebPT, and the ability to use these tools efficiently in day-to-day operations.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Solid clinical skills with evidence of capability in delivering physical therapy interventions specific to orthopedic rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits
