About the Position This position is with U.S. Army Transportation Command, Personnel & Manpower Directorate, Military Personnel Division, located at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. The incumbent serves as a Human Resources Specialist (Military) responsible for planning and coordinating the formulation of policies and programs for highly sensitive officer and/or enlisted personnel management actions and programs. Specialized Experience One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) applying military personnel policies to support officer and enlisted actions; (2) using military HR systems such as IPPS A, NSIPS, AFIPPS, or legacy systems to input and verify personnel data; (3) Reviewing new personnel or manpower requirements and provide recommendations to leadership; (4) preparing clear written guidance or analyses to support command decisions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
