Job TitleAMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.ResponsibilitiesConduct static analyses of mechanical structures or develop solid models to predict stress and structural performance.Conduct FEA of complex structures to determine mechanical shock survivability in a shipboard environment.Develop mechanical shock test procedures.Assist the Design Team with material selection using proper commercial and/or Military Specifications.Conduct Quality Assurance reviews of design and engineering products.QualificationsBachelor's degree in mechanical, civil or structural engineering.Ability to maintain a DOD Secret Clearance.U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance.Physically capable to conduct ship checks on United States Nuclear Submarines:Be comfortable in relatively confined spaces.Capable of climbing vertical ladders (20' – 25') within the submarine.At least Zero (0) to Two (2) years business experience in:Pay Transparency StatementAMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners.
