Warehouse Assistant

Summary: The warehouse assistant is responsible for loading, unloading & staging all items delivered to and shipped from the Trendsetter facility. The warehouse assistant will also assist with receiving/inventory processes as directed and maintain warehouse cleanliness throughout the shift.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate forklift and other heavy equipment to load/unload trucks.
• Stage newly received items in quarantine area to be quality checked.
• Assist Shipping & Receiving Coordinator with verifying, documenting, and tagging received items.
• Assist Shipping & Receiving Inventory Coordinator with moving items from quarantine area to inventory & job kitting locations.
• Remove pallets, boxes, and trash from the warehouse daily.
• Sweep warehouse daily.
• Monitor warehouse consumables weekly.
• Promote safety awareness and complies with all applicable safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintain current knowledge of safety standards.
• Be familiar with Company HSE policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to demonstrate strong decision-making skills, initiative, and assertiveness.
• Must be able to operate a forklift of various sizes.

Experience:

• Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar environment preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge to operate warehouse machinery and equipment.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
