Job Description We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our Corporate Function team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in account reconciliations, general ledger and subledger balancing, and transaction processing and a proven ability to research and resolve exceptions, complete monthly reconciliations within deadlines, and prepare routine financial reports. Responsibilities: Process transactions and maintain accounts and ledgers, including accounts payable, journal vouchers, vendor invoices, expense reimbursements, statements, billings, and other accounting documents. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all transactions processed. Research discrepancies and make appropriate corrections or adjustments. Respond to and resolve inquiries via email with business partners as needed. Post, check, and verify data; run and prepare routine financial reports and analyses. Perform manual matching and clearing activities with attention to detail; target clearing of approximately 2,000 items per 8-hour shift. Complete monthly reconciliations within the open monthly window and manage aging items, escalating and clearing all items at 5 days. Required Skills & Qualifications: Balancing and reconciling expertise, including hands-on general ledger and subledger reconciliation. Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and interpret data accurately. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Proficient computer navigation using Microsoft Office applications, with strong manual Excel skills. Experience with Enterprise Recon and Recon Tool. Preferred Skills: Experience in high-volume manual matching and clearing environments. Background in corporate finance or banking operations. Team & Work Environment Role sits within Corporate Function, a team of 16 based at US Bank Plaza, Minneapolis. No face-to-face customer interaction and no phone calling. Communication occurs primarily via email with business partners. Staff pay for parking; location is on bus line. Work Arrangement & Other Details Hybrid schedule: Tuesday to Thursday in office. Overtime not required. FTE conversion not expected. Contract extension possible but not guaranteed. Interview Process One interview with the Manager and Team Lead.
