PRIMARY PURPOSE Facilitate the efficient operation of the school administrative office and provide clerical services such as PEIMS data collection/entry and bookkeeping. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Education/Certification High School diploma or GED Special Knowledge/Skills Proficient skills in typing, word processing and file maintenance Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to operate computer Minimum Experience One to three years of secretarial experience preferably in a public education environment MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Assist students, teachers, and parents as needed. Collect monies and ready for deposit for activity fund accounts, student fees, and student Skyward fines. Issue disbursements, keep checkbook, ledger and financial report on a monthly basis. Provide customer service at the front desk and answer phone calls. Assist administrators with Skyward Discipline placements and clean‑up. Compile PEIMS information and enter information on computer (including special programs, graduation, attendance, at‑risk and discipline information, Teacher Responsibility, etc.). Check six‑weeks and year‑end reports regarding PEIMS information for accuracy. Check final reports at each PEIMS Submission. Keep records of all students who drive a vehicle on campus. Prepare vehicle registration form and sell permits. Keep records of all tickets issued and collect fees. Assist in generation and maintenance of graduation directions and information as directed. Keep informed of and comply with state, district, and school policies and regulations concerning primary job functions. Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, responsible, and serve as a role model for all district staff. Perform all other related duties as assigned. Ensure confidentiality of information. EQUIPMENT USED Uses computer, printer, copier, and 10‑key adding machine or calculator. WORKING CONDITIONS Mental Demands Reading; ability to perform basic arithmetic; ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); maintain emotional control under stress. Physical Demands/Environmental Factors Repetitive hand motions and prolonged use of computer. Works with frequent interruptions. Bending, stooping, some lifting. Work days: 210. FISD pays $365 per month towards TRS Health Insurance. You can earn up to five local days and fivestate leave days.
